About the Event
Hull Male Voice Choir are a traditional male voice choir with a modern approach, performing a wide range of popular music to suit all tastes. They celebrated 100 years of existence in 2011 with a huge concert attended by an audience of over 800 people in Hull City Hall.
HMVC has always given pleasure and entertainment to the citizens of Hull and East Yorkshire but in recent years they have widened their horizons. In 2000 the choir performed in the town of Gennep, Holland to mark the 55th anniversary of its liberation by British troops in the Second World War. 2014 saw the choir appear at the Baths Hall, Scunthorpe with several other male voice choirs, sharing the stage with Lesley Garrett - an unforgettable experience. 2018 was also a momentous year: in addition to supporting local charities STAND and AGE UK, the choir also took part in the Festival of Brass and Voices at the Albert Hall, performing to an audience of 3000 people.
